If you voluntarily sign up for Kourtney Heintz/K.C. Tansley/Kika Emers’ newsletter or blog, this site will record your email address, first and last name, and if provided, city, and state. The city and state information will be used to send emails for author appearances in your city and/or state. For blog comments, this site collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

You can refuse to supply personal information, but that will exclude you from certain related activities such as receiving newsletters, blogs, and free offers. If you enter a giveaway, your email and first and last name are collected. If you win a physical prize, you will be asked to give your name and physical address.

Duration of Data Retention

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

For newsletter subscribers, Mailchimp retains the information related to your subscription subject to their terms of use and provisions.
